Captain Potato Panic
Pan Brawler. Playable from the start.
How it plays
Aisle Zero is a 2D horde-survival game about holding one supermarket aisle against everything on the shelves. Combat runs itself. Everything else is your problem.
Each run drops your hero into a wrecked supermarket floor and starts the clock. Enemies arrive in waves that never quite stop, and the only way out is to last long enough. The screen fills. That is the point.
Your hero attacks on their own. You control movement, spacing and the decision that actually matters: which upgrade to take next. It means the game plays comfortably with one thumb while still rewarding people who think about positioning.
Every hero is a piece of food that has been through something. They have different starting weapons, different movement, and very different answers to "what happens when forty enemies arrive at once". Meet them all on the heroes page.
Eleven of them, from the Frying Pan and the Plunger Smacker to the WC Brush, plus the guns the police dropped when the Life Sauce reached them. Each has a clear role — crowd control, single-target damage, area burst — and no two are meant to feel the same. See the weapon list.
Between waves you pick upgrades. Individually they are small. Stacked correctly they turn a careful survival run into an unreasonable damage machine, which is the correct way to play.
Restarts are instant. What carries between runs is what you have unlocked and what you have learned about the horde — which enemies rush, which ones surround you, and which ones you should simply walk away from.
Bring the right combination of weapons and perks into the same run and your hero can transform, once per run. Every hero has its own recipe, and its own name for the result — Captain Potato Panic becomes Pan God Potato, Tishinobi becomes the Two-Ply Shadow God. The hero pages name each one.
Alongside the runs there is a base to build: an idle safehouse economy that keeps producing while you are away. It unlocks after you complete campaign level 3.
The Dumb Horde Monsters are not tactical geniuses. They are numerous and extremely committed. Later levels introduce enemies that break that pattern, and bosses that break the aisle. Read up on them in the enemy list.
Twelve levels, each with its own boss. Level 12 is an endless survival level, and it doubles as the qualifier: defeat 10,000 enemies before the 10:00 mark and Insane Mode unlocks for Levels 1–11. The full list is on game modes.
